Damage Mitigation Permits (DMP)

In Queensland, Damage Mitigation Permits are obtained for a deemed protected species by the Department of Environment and Science. These permits are only granted by DES when the pest species are having an impact on health and safety of humans, severe impact on the environment or economical damage to a business.

To obtain a DMP from DES there are a number of requirements needed to prove and justify why the protected species are causing an issue. Once issued a permit there are requirements such as reporting to DES throughout the term of that permit. ACE has successfully obtained and managed DMP’s for clients.
